You can place an order this website. If you would like to speak to someone prior to ordering then please call us on 01738 444376 or email us at supportuk@mi-cnx.com. Please note if your order is over £500 your cards are locked and inactive for security purposes. When your cards are received please contact us prior to gifting so these can be unlocked and activated ready for you to gift. A Town and City Gift Card is a new way of ensuring that money in your community stays local for longer in Glasgow. Once the activation process has been completed it will work like any other gift card. You can spend the gift card in any of the businesses in Glasgow that are registered to accept the Scotland Loves Local Glasgow Gift Card – giving you an opportunity to enjoy and support the local businesses.

If you order via Invoice we will start to process your order as soon as we have received payment from you. If you have paid by card your order will start to be processed the next day once funds have cleared. Orders placed are processed within 3-5 working days of funds being received but if your order is required more quickly than this please get in touch with us and we will do our very best to get your order to you in time.
As per the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations, your right to request a refund starts from the moment you place your order until 14 days after you receive your goods. Refunds can only be made on gift cards that have the full purchase value remaining. To return a gift card, please contact us at supportuk@mi-cnx.com or phone 01738 444376. Once you have registered your refund, please put your gift card(s) in the post and send it back to Miconex, 13 Rose Terrace, Perth. PH1 5HA. Once the gift card(s) has been received your refund will be processed within 3-5 working days. Refunds will be made to the credit or debit card used for purchase. Miconex does not accept responsibility for the loss of your returned goods or your postage charges. You are responsible for the cost of returning gift cards for refunds. We would recommend a form of tracked mail to ensure receipt. We do not accept responsibility for the loss of your returned goods or your postage charges. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
You can include a message with your order that we can print onto the card holders that accompany the gift cards. For International shipping we use Royal Mail International Standard – 4 to 14 Days. We can accept international payments for orders to be delivered within the UK also.
For Domestic Shipping we use Royal Mail and Parcel Force as our postal partners. For Letters and small packages we ship Royal Mail 2nd class or Special Delivery. For larger parcels we use Parcel Force 48 hour tracked delivery.
Miconex was founded in 2010 and works with towns and cities across the world, helping to support successful local economies. Miconex developed the UK’s first city-wide gift card programme in Perth, Scotland, through its Town and City Gift Cards initiative in 2015. This programme is designed to lock in money locally for participating businesses, drive foot traffic and stimulate economic activity, in effect creating a local currency through the MasterCard network.
Employers in the area who reward staff with a Town and City Gift Card can take advantage of the UK trivial benefits scheme. A business can give an employee a benefit of up to £50 without paying tax, but only if the benefit isn’t in cash, a reward for their work or in the terms of their contract.
We do our best to make sure your gift card is received in good condition and with funds, but if it doesn’t, we are here to help. Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase/ issue. Cards cannot be exchanged for cash. Lost or stolen cards will not be compensated. However if you can provide us with the card number then we can lock any lost or stolen cards and transfer the balance remaining to a new card for you. Please note an administration fee may be applicable for this service.
